| There are currently 2 positions available. | | | | Position: | Contract Instructors | | Location: | Dallas (TX) | | Description: | AVO Training Institute, Inc., a leading worldwide electrical maintenance, testing, and safety training organization is seeking qualified Contract Instructors. Primary responsibilities include course presentations (utilizing lecture as well as hands-on laboratory instruction), providing customer support, and some course curriculum development, as needed.
The available Contract Instructor positions require a minimum of ten (10) years hands-on field experience and extensive knowledge in areas such as substation equipment maintenance and testing; electro-mechanical protective relays: OSHA and NFPA 70E electrical safety; and motor control circuitry. Instructors must also be proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Instructors are required to travel primarily domestic, with limited international.

| | Position: | Electrical Engineers | | Location: | Dallas (TX) | | Description: | AVO Electrical Engineering Services, a department of AVO Training Institute, is a Registered Engineering Firm in the State of Texas (Reg #F-006122). We assist companies in improving and maintaining the safety and reliability of their electrical power systems. AVO performs the arc-flash hazards analysis, as well as performing short-circuit studies, protective devices coordination and load-flow studies, along with motor starting analysis, and electrical equipment assessments. The AVO Engineering Services clients include industrial, utility, commercial and government facilities.
We have immediate full-time openings for entry level Electrical Engineers with experience with software, such as SKM or similar, for performing engineering analysis of electrical power system and equuipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with the electrical engineering group with power system study projects by using commercially available software to create computer models and generates single-line drawings.
Required Experience:
•1-3 years in the electrical power systems industry beyond college coursework in electrical power systems engineering.
•Experience in using AutoCAD would be a plus, but not required.
Required Education:
B.S.E.E. Degree (E.I.T. Certification Preferred)
Required Skills:
•Must have prior experience and familiarity with electrical power systems equipment and components.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Must exhibit a meticulous attention to details.
•Must be capable of working on concurrent projects and be able to meet deadlines with superior quality work.
•Proficient with MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel and Power Point)
